About us

The mission of the Kamehameha Schools Archives is to collect, preserve, and appropriately make available the records and other materials of enduring value to the history of the Kamehameha Schools that encompasses three K-12 campuses and over 300 acres of land as part of the legacy of its founder, Ke Aliʻi Bernice Pauahi Bishop.

Acquisition policy

The Kamehameha Schools Archives will identify, preserve, and make available all records, papers, and artifacts of enduring value to the Kamehameha Schools enterprise. These records include:

  • Enterprise records scheduled for permanent retention
  • Personal records of Kamehameha Schools students, faculty, staff, and alumni in accordance with the Kamehameha Schools acquisition policy.
  • Special collections for departments, courses, and programs created by Kamehameha Schools that document actions and activities in support of the mission and legacy of the school in accordance with the acquisition policy.
