E Ola! ‘Ohana Workshops

Our KSK ‘ohana will engage in workshops grounded in Hawaiian culture based learning opportunities that are:

• grounded in Hawaiian culture, worldviews, and ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi
• personalized to the unique context and path of each ʻohana
• responsive to the needs of our ʻāina and lāhui, and
• rigorous and relevant to modern, global environments and technologies.

This school year, KOAE provided seven Hawaiian Cultural Based Learning Opportunities that included: locally grown ingredients from our KS pae ʻāina, a cultural approach to mental health practices, sense of pilina āina, and striving to preserve and practice Hawaiian lifestyle traditions of hana noʻeau through a series of online resources depicting the skilled and work of our kūpuna.
